Since program inception in 2020, TikTok's partnership with HackerOne for our Global Bug Bounty program has seen tremendous growth and impact. Since founding the program, TikTok has worked with over 550 security researchers who have proactively identified and disclosed over 1,000 security vulnerabilities so that our security teams could quickly resolve them. At 1:30 PM on Friday, August 8, TikTok is moderating a panel in the Bug Bounty Village at DEF CON: Storytellers: Ethical Hackers in the Digital Spotlight. This panel explores the unique intersection of ethical hacking and digital content creation, featuring prominent white-hat hackers who leverage platforms like TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube to educate, inspire, and engage the cybersecurity community. The discussion will highlight how these storytellers balance bug bounty hunting with content production, the impact of their work on security awareness, and the evolving role of security researchers as public educators and influencers.
