Bug Bounty Village (BBV) is returning to DEF CON 33 in Las Vegas, August 7-10, 2025, and we need dedicated volunteers to help us make this year even better! Whether you’ll be onsite at DEF CON or want to contribute remotely, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, connect with top security professionals, and be part of the hacker community!

Note: We are currently seeking volunteers planning to attend DEFCON 33 who can cover their own travel expenses. We will do our best to provide volunteers with a conference badge. Please do not volunteer only for this reason, as we cannot promise this benefit until we understand our sponsorship better.

Who We’re Looking For

We need two types of volunteers:

✔ Onsite Volunteers – Help run the village, assist speakers, manage swag, and keep things running smoothly.

✔ Remote Volunteers – Support with social media, sponsorship outreach, CFP reviews, website updates, and logistics before the event.

Volunteer Roles Available

🚀 Onsite Volunteers (Las Vegas, DEF CON 33)

Front Door & Attendee Assistance – Greet visitors, answer questions, and count the number of attendees.
Room Monitors & AV Support – Help manage talks, assist speakers, and keep schedules running smoothly.
Swag & Merchandise Distribution – Organize and distribute BBV swag.
Crowd Control & Logistics – Ensure an organized experience for attendees. Ensure that speakers are where they need to be, etc.
Technical Assistant – Assist speakers and workshop hosts with any technical challenges they face, or help answer technical questions from attendees to keep the presentation on time and running.

💻 Remote Volunteers (Pre-Event & Virtual Support)

Social Media Manager – Help post updates, engage with the community, and live-tweet during DEF CON.
Sponsorship Outreach – Contact potential sponsors and maintain sponsor relationships.
CFP Review Committee – Assist in reviewing speaker submissions.
Website & Content Updates – Keep the site updated with event details.
Speaker & Sponsor Liaison – Collect headshots, bios, and materials from speakers.
Swag & Logistics Coordinator – Assist with ordering and tracking merchandise.
